DriverPass Inc. ("DriverPass," "we," "us," or "our") operates the DriverPass website (https://driverpass.com), the DriverPass Driver mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Services.
This policy applies to everyone who uses our Services, including residents of Quebec, where the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector applies. When we need your consent, we ask for it clearly, separately and for a specific purpose.
Mr. Voss is responsible for the protection of personal information at DriverPass. You can reach him at hello@driverpass.com.
How we manage personal information (privacy governance)
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
The DriverPass Driver mobile application requests access to your precise location, including background location access ("Always Allow"). This data is used to:
Location tracking is only active when you have an assigned trip in progress or when you voluntarily use the "Test My GPS" feature. You can stop tracking at any time by completing or canceling the trip. You can revoke location permissions in your device settings at any time.
We do not track your location when you are not actively delivering a shipment.
The app asks for "Always" (background) location only when you start tracking on an assigned load. "Test My GPS" uses "When In Use" only and does not request Always.
The DriverPass Driver app may ask for the camera and, if you choose, your photo library. We use these only for pickup-verification photos (bill of lading, seal, trailer) and proof-of-delivery photos on an assigned load. Photos may be geotagged so the shipper can trust the delivery point. They are uploaded to our servers, tied to that trip, and visible to the trip creator (shipper/broker/admin) and the assigned driver. We do not use the camera or photo library for any other purpose.
The iOS app signs in with the same email and password as driverpass.com. There is no SMS step and no Face ID or Google sign-in in the app.
If your device offers Face ID or another device passcode, iOS may use it only to unlock a session already saved in the device's secure storage (Keychain). That is not a Face ID login and we do not receive your biometric data.
Dashboard, Training, Files, the job board, and similar panels open as signed-in DriverPass website pages inside the app (same origin, not Safari). Information you enter there is the same account data described in this policy.
You can delete a driver account in the app from More → Delete Account (also on Profile). Fleet and office roles are asked to email support@driverpass.com.
DriverPass sends transactional text messages about your account and loads. This section explains how we handle consumer text data (mobile numbers, message content, and delivery records).
What we collect: The mobile number you give us (or that a fleet, broker, or shipper enters when they assign you a load), the text of messages we send, send/delivery status, timestamps, and provider message IDs. We do not collect the content of your personal texts with other people.
Why we text you: One-time passcodes to sign in or verify a pickup; load-assignment notices (including a link to download or open the DriverPass app); tracking, interruption, and driver-handoff alerts. These are operational messages for the Services, not advertising.
Who we share it with: We use a text message provider to deliver SMS. It receives the destination number and the message text only to send the text and report whether it was delivered. We do not sell mobile numbers or consumer text data, and we do not share text data with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it: We keep SMS logs with the related account or trip for operations, support, and legal/compliance needs, then delete or anonymize them when they are no longer required.
Opt out: Reply STOP to any DriverPass text to opt out of SMS. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency varies with your account and assigned loads. You can also email hello@driverpass.com. Opting out of SMS does not delete your DriverPass account; some features that rely on a text (for example a one-time code) may not work until you opt back in.
DriverPass uses software, including artificial intelligence, to sort and highlight information. For example, it reads text from documents you upload, flags documents that are missing or expiring, flags training that was finished unusually fast, and flags trips or accounts that may need a fraud check.
These tools do not make decisions about you on their own. A person at DriverPass or at your fleet reviews what the software flags before any decision is made, such as approving a document, verifying a profile or clearing a check-in that was put on hold. You can ask us which information was used and ask a person to review any result that concerns you.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our Services. Trip data (including GPS pings, POD photos, and delivery records) is retained for business and regulatory compliance purposes. You can delete your account and personal data directly in the DriverPass mobile app (More > Delete Account), or request deletion by contacting us at the email below.
You can also request deletion without the app at driverpass.com/delete-account.php.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise these rights, contact our person in charge of the protection of personal information at hello@driverpass.com.

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
We may update this Privacy Policy. We post every change on this page with a new "Last Updated" date and tell account holders about important changes by email or in the app. If we want to use your personal information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first.
