Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 14, 2026

Last Updated: August 20, 2026

DriverPass Inc. ("DriverPass," "we," "us," or "our") operates the DriverPass website (https://driverpass.com), the DriverPass Driver mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Services.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of our Services.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you create a DriverPass account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password.
  • Profile Information: Drivers may provide additional details such as CDL number, DOT number, MC number, fleet affiliation, and pay rate preferences.
  • Trip & Delivery Information: Pickup/delivery addresses, shipment details, rate confirmations, proof of delivery photos, and delivery notes.
  • Communications: Messages, support requests, and feedback you send to us.
  • Uploaded Documents: Rate confirmation files (PDF, Excel, CSV, Word) uploaded for auto-parsing, plus driver compliance documents, licences, forms, and other files you or your fleet upload to your DriverPass profile.
  • Training & Compliance: Course assignments, progress, quiz results, certificates, and the compliance documents your fleet tracks for you (for example driver's licence, abstracts, and signed forms).
  • Job Applications: Applications you submit through the job board, including information you enter on employment forms.

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise GPS location data, including background location data, to track shipment deliveries, verify pickup/delivery locations, and provide real-time tracking to authorized parties (shippers, brokers, fleet managers). Location tracking is only active during assigned trips unless you opt into GPS testing.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, a stable app device ID stored on the device (used to name your session), push notification tokens, and app version.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, referring URLs, and interaction patterns.
  • Cookies & Analytics: On the website, we use Google Analytics and similar tools to understand how visitors use driverpass.com. These tools may collect IP addresses and browsing behavior. The DriverPass Driver mobile app does not use Google Analytics and does not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.
  • Crash & Performance Data: In the mobile app, Sentry may receive crash reports and performance traces. This data is not linked to your name, email, or phone in our App Store privacy label.

c. Information from Third Parties

  • FMCSA Data: We verify carrier information using the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) public database, including safety ratings, authority status, and DOT/MC information.
  • Google OAuth: If you sign up on the website using Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. The DriverPass Driver mobile app signs in with email and password only — there is no Google or Face ID sign-in in the app.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With Authorized Parties: Shippers, brokers, fleet managers, and other stakeholders may view trip-related information (location, delivery status, POD photos) through our dashboard or public tracking links.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services including Twilio (SMS), Google Analytics (website analytics), Expo (push notifications), Sentry (crash and performance reporting in our mobile app), and hosting providers to operate our Services.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

4. Location Data & Background Tracking

The DriverPass Driver mobile application requests access to your precise location, including background location access ("Always Allow"). This data is used to:

  • Track your location during active shipment deliveries
  • Verify your presence at pickup and delivery locations
  • Provide real-time shipment tracking to authorized parties
  • Estimate remaining distance to delivery

Location tracking is only active when you have an assigned trip in progress or when you voluntarily use the "Test My GPS" feature. You can stop tracking at any time by completing or canceling the trip. You can revoke location permissions in your device settings at any time.

We do not track your location when you are not actively delivering a shipment.

The app asks for "Always" (background) location only when you start tracking on an assigned load. "Test My GPS" uses "When In Use" only and does not request Always.

5. Camera & Photo Access

The DriverPass Driver app may ask for the camera and, if you choose, your photo library. We use these only for pickup-verification photos (bill of lading, seal, trailer) and proof-of-delivery photos on an assigned load. Photos may be geotagged so the shipper can trust the delivery point. They are uploaded to our servers, tied to that trip, and visible to the trip creator (shipper/broker/admin) and the assigned driver. We do not use the camera or photo library for any other purpose.

5a. DriverPass Driver Mobile App

The iOS app signs in with the same email and password as driverpass.com. There is no SMS step and no Face ID or Google sign-in in the app.

If your device offers Face ID or another device passcode, iOS may use it only to unlock a session already saved in the device Keychain (Expo SecureStore). That is not a Face ID login and we do not receive your biometric data.

Dashboard, Training, Files, the job board, and similar panels open as signed-in DriverPass website pages inside the app (same origin, not Safari). Information you enter there is the same account data described in this policy.

You can delete a driver account in the app from More → Delete Account (also on Profile). Fleet and office roles are asked to email support@driverpass.com.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you our Services. Trip data (including GPS pings, POD photos, and delivery records) is retained for business and regulatory compliance purposes. You can delete your account and personal data directly in the DriverPass mobile app (More > Delete Account), or request deletion by contacting us at the email below.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure token-based authentication (JWT)
  • Password hashing (bcrypt)
  • Secure storage of sensitive data on mobile devices (Expo SecureStore)
  • Role-based access controls on our dashboard

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Revoke location, camera, and photo-library permissions via your device settings
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@driverpass.com.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
