Create, send and read employee surveys

Build a survey, send it to office employees and staff with an optional due date and note, and see answers and completion rates. Employees answer under My Surveys.

Create a survey

  1. In the sidebar, open Employee Management > Employee Surveys.
  2. For a quick start, click Create Satisfaction Survey (3 mo) or Create Annual Review Survey. These come with default questions.
  3. To build your own, click Create New Survey. Enter the Survey Title, a Description, the Survey Type and How often you plan to run it (months), then click Create Survey.

Add questions

  1. On the survey card, click Manage Survey (or Manage Questions in the card menu).
  2. Click Add Question. Type the Question Text, pick the Question Type: Rating (1-5), Text Answer, Yes/No or Multiple Choice. For Multiple Choice, enter Options (one per line).
  3. Choose whether it is Required? and click Add Question.
  4. Use the menu next to a question to Edit or Delete it. The Preview box shows how questions look to employees.

Send it to employees

  1. From the survey, click Send to Employees.
  2. Tick the people to send to. The list has your active office employees and staff. Use All Departments to filter, or Select All. Each person shows Pending, Completed or Never Sent for this survey.
  3. Set a Due Date (Optional) if you want one. Type a Custom Message (Optional) to add a short personal note.
  4. Click Send to Selected. Each person gets a DriverPass notification with the survey name, the due date and your note. The note is not sent by email.
  5. Anyone who still has this survey open (not started or not finished) is skipped, so they do not get a second copy. The Sent! message tells you how many were skipped.

See the results

  1. Open the survey menu and click View Results.
  2. The top shows Total Sent, Completed, Pending and Completion Rate.
  3. Question Results shows the average rating out of 5, the Yes and No split, and a list of text answers. Recent Responses lists who finished and when.

What employees do

Employees open My Surveys in their menu, tap Start Survey (or Continue Survey), answer the questions and tap Submit Survey. Overdue surveys are marked Overdue.

Good to know

Only the fleet owner account can create, send and read surveys.

How often you plan to run it is for your records only. DriverPass does not resend a survey on its own, so send it again when it is due. The survey shows it as Planned frequency.

Employees see this note on the survey: Your company sees who completed this survey, but answers are not shown next to names. Results list who completed it, and answers appear only as totals and a list of text answers in no particular order.

To stop a survey, open Edit Survey and untick Survey is Active. Inactive surveys do not appear for employees.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
