Company setup, insurance and safety contacts

Fill in Set up your company: company details, certificate of insurance, safety contact and verification documents.

Step 1: Your company

  1. Check From your signup. Those carrier details are locked to your DOT or MC record. If you have no DOT or MC, tick This carrier does not have a DOT or MC number.
  2. Enter Legal company name, Street address, City, Postal / ZIP code, Country, Province / State and Company phone. CVOR number (Ontario) or NIR number (Quebec) appears when it applies.
  3. Under Certificate of insurance, tap Choose file and upload your COI (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 20 MB). Wait for Uploaded.
  4. Under Who should we contact?, enter the Safety contact name and phone. Dispatch and After hours are optional. Use my details fills in your own.
  5. Tap Save and continue.

Steps 2 and 3

  1. How you operate is optional. Choose your services, lanes and fleet size, or tap Skip for now.
  2. Upload your verification documents: Operating authority, Certificate of insurance, Workers' compensation and Tax registration. Continue unlocks once all four are uploaded.
  3. To replace a file later, open Profile and the Documents tab.

Locked fields and upload problems

Locked carrier details can be changed later by requesting a change from your profile. A DOT or MC lookup is not proof of insurance and is not DriverPass approval.

If an upload fails, check the file type, size and connection, then try the same step again. Do not create another fleet account.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
