Work orders for maintenance staff

Mechanics: open a work order when a unit comes in, enter the work and line prices, and mark it done when it leaves.

Log your work

  1. In the sidebar, open Equipment > Service history and click New work order. Or click the wrench on the unit's card in Power Units, Trailers or Company Vehicles.
  2. Pick the unit, the Maintenance type and the Status. Use Open or In progress while the unit is with you: it shows as In shop.
  3. Under Who did the work, choose In-house and pick your name, or Outside shop and pick or add the shop.
  4. Enter the dates, the odometer and the work. Add the lines with Qty and Unit price.
  5. Under Tax on this invoice, type the tax. Use Invoice total only when the lines have no prices. These boxes start empty each time: leave them empty to keep what is saved.
  6. Click Add files for the invoice or photos, then Save work order.
  7. When the unit is ready, open the work order and click Mark done. The unit goes back to Active when no other work order is open for it.

What you see and what the office sees

You see and edit line prices. The office sees subtotals, tax and totals. They are never shown to you in the list, the work order, the unit header or the CSV, and you do not have the Cost report or Settings.

You cannot delete a work order. If one was saved by mistake, ask the fleet owner or safety staff to delete it.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.

Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
