Give office employees training and resources

Use Trainings and Resources to share documents, videos or links with office staff, set a due date and see who marked them complete. Driver courses use the Training Center instead.

Staff training or driver training?

Trainings and Resources (Employee Management > Trainings and Resources) is for your office employees. You upload your own file or link, and the employee marks it complete. There are no quizzes or certificates here.

To train drivers with DriverPass courses, quizzes and certificates, use Training Center > Assign Courses instead.

Only the fleet owner can manage this page.

Add and assign a training

  1. Open Employee Management > Trainings and Resources and click Add Training.
  2. Enter the Training Name and pick the Type: Document (PDF), Video, External Link or Course/Module. Add a Description.
  3. Upload the file (PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, MP4 or WEBM, up to 50 MB) or enter the link.
  4. Set Due Days (after assignment). Tick Mandatory Training if everyone must finish it. Click Save Training.
  5. On the training card, click Assign. Tick employees or use Select All Employees. Set a Due Date (optional), or leave it blank to use the due days. Click Assign.
  6. Each employee gets a notification and finds it under Trainings & Resources in their sidebar, where they open it and click Complete.

Share a resource

Resources are reference files like a handbook. They have no due date or completion.

  1. Under Training Resources, click Add Resource.
  2. Enter the Resource Name, pick the type (PDF Document, Other Document, Video or External Link), upload the file or add the link, and click Save Resource.
  3. Use the assign button on the resource row, tick the employees and click Assign.

Check progress and good to know

Click View on a training card to see each employee's status: Assigned, Completed or Overdue. Use the bin icon on a row to remove that assignment.

Completion is what the employee reports by clicking Complete. It is not a test result.

Deleting a training with the bin icon also deletes who it was assigned to and every completion record, and it cannot be undone. The warning says so before you confirm. Download anything you need to keep first.

Only active employees show in the Assign list. It includes your office staff logins as well as employees.

We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
