Edit contract wording or fields on a PDF template

Use Edit contract text for the built-in wording and Place fields or Edit fields for your uploaded PDF.

Choose the right editor

Edit contract text changes the wording of the built-in template. Place fields (or Edit fields once fields exist) puts signature, initials, date, name and text boxes on a PDF you uploaded. Drivers cannot sign until at least one signature field is placed.

Edit and save

  1. Open Driver Contracts. On the template, tap More actions > Edit contract text, or tap Place fields / Edit fields on a PDF template.
  2. For wording: make your edits, tap Preview PDF to check, then Save template.
  3. For fields: pick a field type, click on the PDF to place it, then tap Save Template.
  4. To keep the existing PDF and add another version, such as French, use More actions > Add a variant (e.g. French).

Already sent contracts

Template changes only affect contracts you send later. They do not change agreements already sent or signed. If you see Another editor saved first or This template was updated in another window, copy your edits, reload and review before saving again.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
