View and download a saved document

Open the saved copy, check it, and know what happens when the app hands a file to your browser.

Find and open the file

  1. Go to where the file lives. Drivers: Compliance in the sidebar (Files tab in the app), Forms & signatures, or Training Center, then My Certificates. Fleet owners and fleet staff: Document Bank.
  2. Click View to check the saved copy, or Download where it is offered.
  3. Check the title, every page and the person or unit before you use it.
  4. Keep your own original until you have checked the saved copy.

Downloads in the app

In the app, a download opens in your phone's browser (Safari or Chrome). DriverPass signs the browser in with a one-time link that goes straight to the file. From there you can share it, save it to Files or print it. Then switch back to the app.

This does not make the file public. DriverPass still checks that your account may open it.

If it will not open

Check your signal and open the file again from its page, since the sign-in link only works once. Don't share that link. If it still fails, send a support ticket with the file name and the message you saw. Don't delete your only copy or post the file publicly as a workaround.

A copy shared with a partner fleet carries a light DriverPass logo. The original is not changed.

What you can open depends on your role and your fleet’s settings. A guide never gives access to another person’s documents.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
