Tell the difference between a GPS fix and a location update sent for your load.

Check in a safe place

Open the Trip tab and find Test My GPS.
Tap Run GPS Check. When it shows GPS is working, you also see accuracy and signal strength.
If it cannot find you, check that location is on and allowed, and move where the sky is clearer.
On an active load, read GPS live and the last update time, plus any banner.
After signal returns, pull down to refresh and check the last update again.

What each check proves

Test My GPS shows your phone can find you while the app is open. Sending updates for a load also needs an active load and a data connection. A good GPS check does not mean tracking will continue with the screen locked. Accuracy is often weaker indoors and at docks.

When to contact dispatch

If the last update stays old, tell dispatch the load, the time of the last update and any message shown. Do not mark delivery just to clear a warning.

What happens if I lose my phone or documents?

Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.

Will DriverPass help me stay compliant?

Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Can we request carrier compliance reports?

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

What kind of compliance tracking does DriverPass offer?

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.

Does DriverPass help with DOT, FMCSA, or provincial regulations?

DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.

What if I manage different types of drivers (e.g., company vs. owner-operators)?

No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
