Complete setup and scan your licence

Photograph both sides, check the details, then save.

Capture and review

  1. After you sign in, follow the setup page. It starts with First, add your driver’s licence.
  2. Take a photo of the front, then turn the card over for the back. In the camera, fit the card in the frame and tap Take photo, then Use photo. Tap Retake if it is blurry.
  3. On a computer, scan the QR code to use your phone’s camera, or choose Upload from this computer.
  4. On Check your licence, compare Your details (name, licence number, class, province or state, dates) with the card and fix anything wrong.
  5. Tap Save my licence. The page confirms Your licence is saved.

A scan only suggests details

Reading the text or barcode fills in fields for you. It does not prove a licence is genuine, and it can be wrong. Always check before saving.

Troubleshooting

If the camera is blocked, allow camera access for DriverPass or your browser in phone settings and reopen the step. Move somewhere brighter if the scanner says Too dark. If a save fails, tap Try again or reload the page; your account is kept.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
