Ask Miles, the DriverPass assistant

Miles explains how to do things in DriverPass and looks up your records, such as issued equipment, service history and incidents. For a few tasks it can make the change after you click Confirm.

Where to find Miles

On the DriverPass website, click the Chat with Miles button. It is there for drivers, fleet owners and fleet staff with safety access. Miles is not shown inside the app. Visitors to the public website can also ask Miles general questions about DriverPass.

Get a useful answer

  1. Say who you are (driver, fleet owner or staff) and whether you use the website or the app.
  2. Name the task, for example uploading a licence or asking for time off, and quote any page name or error you see.
  3. Never paste passwords, codes or sign-in links.
  4. If the steps don't match your screen, say which step is missing, or check the Help Center guide for that task.

What Miles can look up for you

Miles reads your DriverPass records and answers in the chat. It only shows what your own pages show you, and it never changes these records.

Fuel card numbers only ever show the last 4 digits in Miles, for everyone. To see a full card number, the fleet owner or safety staff use Show number on the item in Issued equipment.

  1. Issued equipment: ask who has a fuel card, key or device, what one driver holds, how many are in stock, or which cards expire this month. Drivers can ask which fuel card they have, when it expires and its limit.
  2. Service history: ask what work was done on a unit, what is in the shop now, or when a unit is due for its next service. Work order totals are shown to the fleet owner and safety staff only.
  3. Incidents: ask for open or recent incidents, or the incidents of one driver. Miles also tells you about the other vehicles involved (how many, their plate and make). It can open a new incident report with one other vehicle after you click Confirm; add more vehicles, phones and insurance on the incident page.

When Miles offers to make a change

For some tasks, such as sending a time-off request, updating profile details or filing a document you uploaded, Miles shows a card describing the change with Confirm and Cancel. Nothing changes until you click Confirm.

An answer alone is not a finished task. Check the actual page to see that a document was saved or a request was sent. For anything Miles cannot do or explain, open a support ticket or ask your fleet.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
