Assign training to drivers or groups

Preview a course, pick drivers or a driver group, set the due date and passing score, then assign.

Assign a course

  1. In the sidebar, open Training Center, then Course Library. Click Preview on a course to see it the way drivers will.
  2. Open Training Center, then Assign Courses.
  3. Under 1 Choose courses, tick one or more courses, or click a saved bundle.
  4. Under 2 Who gets it, choose Individual drivers (tick names, or use Select all) or Driver group.
  5. Under 3 Settings, set the Due date, Certificate expiry, Passing score and Recertify every as needed. Add Notes (optional).
  6. Click Assign course. Then check the drivers on Training Matrix or Progress Reports.

Groups and bundles

Driver Groups (Training Center, then Driver Groups) let you assign to a set of drivers in one go. A bundle is a saved set of courses: tick courses on Assign Courses and click Save selection as a bundle, or click Manage next to Bundles.

A group name alone does not assign anything. After people join or leave a group, check the matrix to see who really has the course.

Who can assign

Fleet owners can assign training. Fleet staff can too when they have safety access. Drivers find their courses under Training Center, then Assigned Courses on the website, or the Training tab in the app.

To take a course back, use the Unassign courses tab on the same page.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
