Import power units or trailers from a CSV file

Upload a CSV, check the parsed rows, then import only the ones that are right.

Import a list

  1. In the sidebar, open Equipment, then Power Units (or Trailers). Click Import CSV.
  2. Click Download Template, or export a list from your ELD provider. If it is an Excel file, save it as CSV first.
  3. Under CSV File, choose the file and click Upload & Parse.
  4. Check each row: Truck #, Plate, Prov, VIN, Make, Model, Year, Type, Ownership and Status. Use Select All, Deselect All or Select New Only.
  5. Click Import Selected Power Units (or Import Selected Trailers). When it says Import Complete!, click View Power Units to check them.

Good to know

Only the fleet owner account can import. Company Vehicles has no import, so add those one at a time. Importing can create new units and update existing ones, so review rows that already exist before you tick them.

A CSV is a one-time copy. It does not connect your ELD or start live tracking. Leave passwords, API keys and staff personal details out of the file.

If something goes wrong

Read the message on the page. Try a small file first. If the connection drops during an import, check the list before you run it again, because some units may already be saved.

FAQs

For Employers & Carriers

DriverPass is a driver verification and compliance management platform built to help carriers streamline hiring, onboarding, and fleet compliance, all in one place.
We save you time and money by automating driver onboarding, licence & document tracking, and compliance monitoring, so you can focus on moving freight.
Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

For Drivers

DriverPass lets you manage all your documents, certifications, and records in one spot. Stay organized and job-ready at all times.
No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
