Change driver status and activate drivers in bulk

Use Set Active, Set Inactive or Activate now (override) on one driver, or Select drivers to activate several.

One driver at a time

On Driver Management > Drivers, tap the three-dot menu (More actions) on the driver's row. You see one status action depending on their status: Set Inactive for active drivers, Set Active for inactive drivers, or Activate now (override) for pre-employment drivers.

Activate now (override) skips the driver-acceptance step and is recorded in the status log. Use it only when it matches your real hiring decision. Status and document compliance are separate.

Activate several drivers

  1. On Drivers, tap Select drivers. It appears when eligible drivers are shown and you are not searching.
  2. Tick the drivers, or use Select all eligible shown. Only pre-employment and inactive drivers in your fleet can be selected, and only those on screen.
  3. Check the selected count, tap Activate selected and confirm.
  4. Wait for the roster to reload. Tap Cancel to leave selection without changes.

Know the limits

Bulk activation does not approve documents, send setup links or merge profiles. If you see a message asking you to refresh, reload the roster and check statuses before trying again.

For Employers & Carriers

Any fleet size, from 5 to 500+ drivers. We work with local, regional, and long-haul fleets, including carriers in the U.S. and Canada.
Yes. You can add dispatchers, HR, compliance officers, or managers, each with customized permissions.

No. DriverPass is free for drivers.
Your profile and the documents you upload are saved in your DriverPass account, not only on your phone. Sign in from any phone or computer to see them. If you can't sign in, tap Forgot password? on the sign-in page. If you lose a paper document, upload a photo of the replacement when you have it.
Yes. You'll get automatic alerts when documents are about to expire and can upload renewals directly from your phone.

For Shippers

Not as a report. Shippers use Secure Trip in DriverPass to follow their own loads. For a carrier's compliance documents, ask the carrier directly.

Compliance & Safety

We track license classes, medical cards, background checks, training completion, and more. You'll get alerts before anything expires.
DriverPass helps you keep the records. It stores driver files such as licences with their expiry dates, shows what is missing or expired, and sends reminders before a licence or document expires. Your fleet is still responsible for meeting DOT, FMCSA and provincial rules, and DriverPass does not give legal advice.
No problem. DriverPass lets you assign different compliance checklists by driver type so nothing falls through the cracks.
