Fleet app, Fleet Map and load tracking
Fleet Map shows trucks and trailers from telematics. Driver load tracking lives in Secure Trip.
The fleet app menu
In the app, fleet owners get the tabs Home, Drivers, Map, Files and More. Map opens Fleet Map. Files opens the Document Bank. More holds the rest, grouped as Fleet, Compliance & Files, People, Messages & Help and Account.
Check where a unit or load is
- For trucks and trailers, open the Map tab (or Fleet Map on the website). It shows units with telematics location and when each one was last updated. Click Refresh to reload.
- For a driver's load, open My Shipments in the app (Secure Trip in the website sidebar) and open the trip. Check its status, such as In transit or Tracking interrupted.
- If a load's location is old, ask the driver, once they are safely stopped, to open the load in the app and check tracking, location permission and signal.
- Use the trip's normal steps for pickup and delivery. Don't change the driver's status in DriverPass to fix tracking.
Limits of tracking
The driver app only tracks during an active load. It does not follow drivers all the time. If the phone only allows location while the app is open, updates can stop when the driver leaves the app. An old position is not a live safety status.
